The recycling conveyor chain: for a sustainable material flow
Plastic chain conveyors have become indispensable in modern production environments in a wide range of industries. Tens of thousands of kilometres of conveyor lines run through a wide variety of production facilities worldwide.
However, this also means that after years of use and wear, these tens of thousands of metres of plastic conveyor chains have to be regularly replaced and renewed. This results in huge amounts of plastic waste every year, consisting of the highest quality POM plastic, which is disposed of unused. This is anything but sustainable and resource-friendly.
For this reason, and based on our conviction that even a small company can make the world a little better, we developed the idea of being able to use this unused amount of high-quality plastic that ends up in the rubbish every day where it is needed: on your plastic chain conveyor systems in your production environment.
From the idea to the finished product: the modular automation recycling conveyor chain
Together with Chemnitz University of Technology, we have set ourselves the task of developing a method and a process to recycle used, dirty and damaged plastic conveyor chains and to make new moduflex plastic conveyor chains from the POM plastic obtained.
The procedure:
We have succeeded in developing a cleaning process with which we can remove all dirt from the conveyor chains. In the next step, the cleaned conveyor chains are dismantled by a recycling machine developed by us (removal of steel bolts) and then processed into granulate.
The POM granulate obtained from this is used in the final step to produce the moduflex recycling conveyor chain by injection moulding. In this way, your old plastic conveyor chains (including those that you may have purchased from our competitors) are turned into the moduflex recycling conveyor chain from modular automation.

Once we have your old conveyor chains at our premises, the recycling process begins. We remove the metal pins, clean the old conveyor chains and prepare them for processing into high-quality POM granulate.The old conveyor chains are turned into moduflex recycling chain
We now injection mould the new moduflex recycling chain from the POM granulate obtained. You can now obtain this at an attractive price and do a lot of good for the environment at the same time.
