Drain plates, wheel bends, slide rails, conveyor chains, idler units, etc.: Chain conveyor systems are as diverse as the industry itself.
In principle, there is no such thing as a single solution. As a modular automation customer, you can rely on the fact that your new moduflex chain conveyor system is a space-saving system that exactly matches the unit load you need to transport. No more, but also no less. This is why we at modular automation have developed standardised components that combine to create space-saving systems that are as unique as your production process.
Rely on standardised components such as the drive/idler units, support profiles or plain bends of the highest quality. You can rely on moduflex chain conveyor system components from modular automation.

Compatibility counts

Just do it. That is our credo - in two respects. That's why we have the right chain (material, shape, task) for virtually all your tasks and leave nothing to be desired when it comes to all other components. Regardless of whether you want to assemble your entire conveyor system from components and build it yourself or are only looking for a few extensions or spare parts for your existing system: Thanks to our modular design, we at modular automation offer maximum variety and therefore the flexibility you need in your day-to-day production. Simply moduflex.

Questions for planning your moduflex plastic chain conveyor system

The fastest way to your conveyor: how it works

We need some information from you so that we can design a conveyor system for you:

  • How many products would you like to convey? (output (ppm, parts/min)

  • What is the weight of your product (product weight)

  • What is the width of your product? (product width)

  • Over what distance do you want to convey the product? (Conveying distance and line course) What speed do you want to transport the product? (conveying speed)

  • In what environment would you like to use the conveyor system? (production conditions, clean room, dry room, clean, dirty, etc.)

Before planning your conveyor system, you should answer the following questions.

1.        What are the properties of your conveyed goods/product?

2.        Which operating characteristics are specified?

3.        Are funding system data available?

4.        Which conveyor system sizes are best suited to these conveyor system requirements?

5.        Which tensile forces must be taken into account?

What are the properties of your conveyed goods/product?

Every project starts with the collection of your product data. What dimensions are we talking about? How much does your product weigh? What is it made of and which surface structures need to be taken into account? Based on this key data and individual requirements for your industry (e.g. hygienic design), we at modular automation work with you to make an initial selection of possible components for your chain conveyor.

Which operating characteristics are specified?

This is where it gets even more technical: At what speeds do you want to convey? Do you attach importance to metres per speed or does your process require the transport of a defined number of pieces per minute? Also important: How do you organise your production process? Is accumulation operation required or is production synchronised? In this project phase, we at modular automation take another close look at your production environment. Is it hot or cold? Is it dusty or wet? Is it particularly dirty? Only when we have this information can we ensure a low-maintenance and stable process with the right system.

Is data available on the required conveyor system?

The hall layout is particularly important in this project phase. The aim here is to check together what a track layout looks like, what the upper edge of the conveyor belt must be like and what transitions look like. Where do you need floor supports? Is wall support required? Do you need a ceiling suspension system? You should also take a close look at your control technology at this stage. Once we have all this information in order, we can select the best conveyor system for you. Depending on your product characteristics, we at modular automation have different conveyor system sizes in our portfolio.

Which tensile forces must be taken into account?

As an engineer, you know best: theory is one thing, everyday production is another. That's why we calculate tensile forces in this project phase. Where we need more power for your conveyor system, we therefore plan additional drive units or adapt the routing. We benefit from hundreds of projects and decades of experience, which we incorporate into your project. Our goal: The most efficient solution for you.

Which product guidance best secures your products?

The top priority in production: Process stability. To ensure this, we take a close look at which side rails are right for you in this project phase.
